About the Business Development Manager
My client is an innovative lender across the SME Ecosystem.

Since launching in 2012, they have doubled size of the lending book, grew a myriad of referral partners and created an excellent brand name for themselves.

In addition to having a flexible invoice finance facility they have a wrap around sas platform allowing businesses to outsource cash flow management, debt collection and back office functions making it a really appealing sell to SME's

After doubling the lead flow in 2nd half of last year they are now looking for BDM to work across inbound lead conversion whilst building an external broker network to act as a complimentary lead generation

As the Business Development Manager your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Work on the conversion of Inbound leads coming from their partner network of banks, brokers and accountancy firms.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer journey for all SME's operating as quick, concise, and efficient as possible.
  • Analyse the financial statements of each invoice finance deal with comes in ensure the business fits within the lending criteria of my client
  • Confidently build relationships with introducers ensuring they understand the appetite of deals we want to look at
  • Be confident pitching the benefits of working with my client

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Business Development Manager are:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, a background in fintech/alternative lender would be great
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations with customers.
  • Keen eye for detail and a numerical mindset so you can analyse financial statements
  • Previous experience in a sales environment so you are confident hitting KPI's and revenue targets.
