    Our client, a rapidly growing and independent bank, has an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Director to join their team. This role is focused on fostering positive social impact lending in Scotland, and the successful candidate can be based in locations such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, or the Central Belt.

    Focus of the Ethical Sector Lender - Relationship Director role:

    • Contribute to the bank's growth within the charity and social purpose sector through funding solutions and asset management.
    • Engage in business development to maximize opportunities for the bank and associated entities.
    • Manage relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve business development goals.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver customer solutions.

    Responsibilities of the Ethical Sector Lender - Relationship Director role:

    • Identify and convert business development opportunities to meet the bank's goals.
    • Promote the bank's services effectively, contributing to the achievement of lending targets.
    • Analyze lending proposals and manage the sanction process for clients.
    • Research and understand clients' business needs to enhance satisfaction and achieve business goals.
    • Resolve customer queries effectively and provide appropriate solutions.
    • Liaise with external and internal business introducers to support targets.
    • Build professional networks and raise awareness of the bank as a leader in social purpose funding.
    • Contribute to initiatives for customer satisfaction and profitable business in the sector.

    Skills and Experience of the Ethical Sector Lender - Relationship Director role:

    Experience

    • Experience in relationship management with charities or similar organizations.
    • Account management experience with large charities or equivalent.
    • Relevant experience in financial services.
    • Experience in business forecasting and budget setting.

    Qualifications

    • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
    • Financial services qualifications such as ACIB, CeMAP, or LIBF.
    • Fundraising or charitable services qualifications.

    Specialist Skills/ Ability/Knowledge

    • Proficient with computers and MS Office.
    • Understanding of fundraising and financial needs of charities.
    • Knowledge of the voluntary sector.
    • Ability to interpret financial information and submit lending applications.
    • Specialist product knowledge and leadership skills.
    • Strong commercial and financial understanding.

    Communication

    • Skilled in negotiation and persuasiveness.
    • Experience in client interactions at a senior level.
    • Effective presentation skills for small and large groups.
    • Adaptive communication style based on the audience.

    • Ability to build client relationships and work well in a team.
