Description

Our client, based in South East London, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager - Research Finance on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start dependent on notice and on a full time basis. The salary on offer is £40,987 to £45,668 per annum.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing a small portfolio of five to six clients of post-award EC funding grants with values of up to £1.5million
  • Assisting with the larger scale portfolio of 125 grants from the 14 academic departments within the organization, split across the team of five
  • Supporting the Learning and Development across the team of four Research Finance Officers
  • Assisting with queries from the team and sharing knowledge to help development
  • Responsible for managing all financial operations of the projects
  • Providing training to officers on an ongoing basis
Experience and skills required

  • Experience of managing multimillion pound EU funded research projects
  • Previous experience of handling research finance processes
  • Higher education background working within the research finance team

Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (flexible, core hours 10am-4pm)
Hybrid working - two days on site per week (flexible)
