Description
We're currently partnering with an esteemed and internationally renowned University to recruit for a permanent Project Buyer.


The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis and the annual salary on offer is £45,000 per annum.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Managing all aspects of the performance of the Estate procurement team, ensure alignment with organisational and departmental strategy
  • Running OJEU tenders from start to finish of values up to £5 million
  • Overseeing and ensuring effective working relationship with senior stakeholders
  • Helping develop measurable outcomes and ensure that team objectives are aligned
  • Ensuring procurement strategies and processes established align to the organisations strategic objectives
  • Developing an effective tracker on all procurement strategies in Estates procurement
  • Helping develop a range of KPIs for procurement activities within the Capital Programme Framework
  • Designing targets which drive appropriate behavioural change in the management of contracts
  • Ensuring that the data within procurement related systems is relevant and reliable and that we are audit ready
  • Driving relevant savings targets and sustainability targets which are achievable and measurable in our contracts

Experience and knowledge required:


  • Must be CIPS Qualified
  • Minimum of five years' experience in FM/ Construction related services.
  • Knowledge of Project buyer tier 1 contractors
  • Through understanding of dealing with high value tenders
