- Work with the Legal and Sales Excellence teams to streamline the contracting process, including owning all aspects of assigned contracts through the contract lifecycle
- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, agreements, memos and other documents
- Ensure the organization's business practices comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Research areas of law as needed, for example, new product areas that the business might look to enter, intellectual property issues, and software licensing issues
- Represent the Legal Department in office-wide initiatives when required
- Advise and support various departments across the company, including sales, marketing, finance, engineering and production on legal issues and business risks, as well as broader company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 5-7 years' legal experience, including at least 3+ years in-house
- JD from an accredited law school
- Recognized legal qualification in local jurisdiction (equivalent to US state Bar membership)
- Experience working in-house at a technology company is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of contracts, conflicts of interest, and compliance
- Display strong business judgment and critical thinking
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to execute while working independently as well as on teams and across other departments
- Willingness and flexibility to develop and learn new areas of expertise as necessary for changing business needs
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

The Corporate Counsel is responsible for a variety of duties within the Legal organization. This role provides counsel to the business's internal clients, supports the contracting process and ensures the company's compliance with all laws and regulations.
