Personal Assistants Needed
To enable a young lady who lives at home with her family in Galashiels to stay independent

and supported in her own home. Our client is urgently looking for experienced personal

assistants to help with double ups to give mum some much needed support.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist with medication, level 3 medication management required
  • Experience of Peg feeding, if not training will be given
  • Assistance getting out of bed via a hoist, help to be washed/dried and dressed in the
morning, maintaining skin integrity

  • Assistance with showering/bathing every second day to maintain personal hygiene
and dignity

  • Prepare a soft breakfast/lunch/supper mixed with a thickening solution and served
in small bitesize pieces to avoid the risk of choking, support to finish meal

  • Ensuring good fluid intake
  • Support to operate/use stair lift then help with transfer to a wheeled commode once
upstairs

  • Assistance with undressing /washing and getting ready for bed
  • Help with getting into bed with the use of a hoist
  • Assist with night time medication
  • Any other personal care tasks as required

The Terms

  • Monday to Sunday;
  • Mornings 1.5hrs, Lunchtimes 1hr, Teatimes 1hr, Bedtimes 1.5hrs, times TBA
- £11.50 per hour

  • 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
  • PVG/References required
