cer Financial are working alongside a bank who are based in the City of London.

They are seeking an Execution Control Middle Office - Team Leader / Vice President to work with them on a permanent basis.

In this role you with have overall supervisory responsibility for the day to day operations of the team.

You will proactively provide support to all EMEA Front Office business departments for the efficient execution and control of new transaction coveringloan, derivative and trade finance products.

The Responsibilities of an Execution Control Middle Office - Team Leader / Vice President Will Include:

  • Review, approve and provide guidance to team members in reviewing all lending documentation, ensuring operational aspects are controllable and in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Execution and approval of consistency check between lending documentation and credit approval in GBR, providing final sign off of Key Terms & Conditions, including fulfilment of credit conditions.
  • Execution and approval of credit limits in the banks operating systems
  • FOX, LOAN IQ, OBS, MONTRAN and PROFILE.
  • Review risk mitigating documentation, including Credit Risk Insurance and Sub/Risk Participation.
  • Ensure timely escalation of risk issues impacting transactions, including limit breaches and excesses, both from an internal policy perspective and from a regulatory perspective such as late registration of committed transactions allowing for acknowledgmentand acceptance where required.
  • Development of procedures and business process flows with Front Office & Finance Dept for unstructured transactions, ensuring booking methodology is agreed and understood.
  • Constructively challenge and influence change to enhance business performance for the Section and Department to ensure best practise is established.
  • Monitor and encourage the team's participation in project related work for both Departmental and Bank wide initiatives.
  • Mentor staff and support training initiatives be engaging in proactive measurement of staff performance, including staff appraisals and training initiatives.
The Successful Execution Control Middle Office - Team Leader / Vice President Will Have:

  • Excellent experience in a financial services environment with exposure to syndicated loan markets
  • Comprehensive knowledge of loan, trade and derivative documentation, including the working mechanics of the credit approval process.
  • An excellent understanding of standard Loan Market Association documentation.
  • Previous experience in managing / supervising staff, providing day to day guidance and structured development plans.
  • An excellent working knowledge of the business conducted by the Bank, including an understanding of the individual marketing Departments.
  • An excellent understanding of key risks and associated control points in the transaction lifecycle.
  • A good understanding of KYC and compliance procedures related to their functional area, ensuring best practice is incorporated in their team.
