Job Summary

In this position, you will gain valuable experience operating a variety of machining equipment, including CNC machines, manual machines, and more. Your main responsibilities will involve working on plastic injection and elastomer molds, press tools, and other tooling components. You will need to adopt a learning mindset to develop basic and intermediate skills as a CNC Machinist. Additionally, you will assist senior colleagues to achieve quality, delivery, and cost goals while being open to ongoing learning opportunities.

It is crucial to adhere to the company's safety, environmental, and quality guidelines throughout your work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acquire skills in setting and operating CNC and manual/hybrid lathes, grinders, and mills
• Attend technical college to enhance engineering and academic capabilities
• Complete coursework and practical tasks efficiently
• Assist in assembling and disassembling molds and press tools
• Develop hand tool skills relevant to an engineering environment
• Enhance problem-solving abilities for tooling repair and maintenance
• Follow health & safety, environmental, and quality protocols
• Comprehend and follow process control plans
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and workplace guidelines
• Conduct HSE and Workplace Inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
• Utilize personal protective equipment correctly
• Engage in process improvement and automation initiatives
• Contribute to Lean Sigma programs
• Support quality, delivery, and cost objectives
• Report and address issues promptly
• Complete required courses and training
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Required: Engineering or technical qualification, or relevant experience in an engineering setting
• Preferred: NVQ/BTEC Level 2 or 3 in engineering

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Required: Machinery knowledge, mathematical aptitude, and experience with mechanical systems
• Desirable: Experience in engineering machinery, technical drawing, and knowledge of materials
