Head of Product - Brighton - £85k

We have partnered up with a rapidly growing IT Service provider based in Brighton. This role be responsible for the commercial success of their portfolio of products and services.

You will lead a team of product managers and specialists, and work with stakeholdersacross the group to shape their product strategy.


You will be responsible for managing product through the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising customer and business requirements and insights, defining the product or solution and working closely with departments across the business to deliver success.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties

  • Create timelines and owning the Product Roadmap for the overarching product strategy to ensure timescales are achieved to bring to market or decommissioning activities.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high level use cases, technical requirements, revenue and ROI.
  • Develop robust testing criteria is produced and recorded along with tolerance of what constitutes a go to market or hold approach.
  • Assess current competitor offerings, identifying opportunities and threats.
  • Assess current product offering across the Group inclusive of acquisition and make recommendations as to future planning.
  • Develop products or solutions through insights from market research, identifying trends and customer buying behaviour.
  • Chair steering committee meetings to ensure all areas of the business can contribute to the product strategy and prioritise deliverables effectively.
  • Manage from conception of the product through to product end of life.
  • Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation through product launches and marketing campaigns working with their Marketing function.
  • Collaborate closely with departments across the business (engineering, marketing, sales, operations etc) on the development, quality assurance, accurate billing and release of products to ensure success for the entire organization.
  • Collaborate closely and build relationships with key suppliers.
  • Deliver the operating plan; the achievement of growth objectives, including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all the channels and key customers
  • Drive the product and business planning process across crossfunctional teams of the company
  • Ensure the value of the Product Framework is understood by the Group and ensuring that the methodology is followed as such. Being responsible for any updates or improvements to this are agreed and communicated out.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Product Managers and Specialists across office locations to deliver the strategy, whilst fostering an environment of continual development and improvement in each team member
