Job Title:
Activities Coordinator

Responsible to:
Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Senior Care Assistants.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Focus on the wellbeing of our residents by providing a rich, personcentred and diverse activity programme that benefits all of our residents.
Develop and lead an activity program that takes account of the needs, interests and preferences of all residents living in the home.
To provide a variety of activities and formats for residents to enjoy including one to one sessions, groups, outings and whole home activities.
Ensure that the activity program is documented along with daily records of activities provided, resident participation, resident feedback.
Support other care staff to participate in activity provision and help them to develop their confidence to maintain and continue activities when you are not present.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Genuine interest in activity provision with the elderly within a care home setting
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, work colleagues and other stakeholders
Satisfactory DBS Check and two references
Experience of developing and leading activities within a care home to people with a range of physical and mental health needs

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£10.90 per hour
