Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, we are currently seeking a highly organised Shipping Team Leader to oversee our shipping operations as the business continues to grow

You will be responsible for ensuring the day to day tasks for both you and the team are executed in accordance with the departments goals and objectives by working with the 3PL's (US & Holland) and the UK warehouse.

This role is to ensure success as the Shipping Team Leader you need to exhibit knowledge of logistics and have worked in a similar role.

Shipping Team Leader Responsibilities;

Oversees the day to day running of the shipping team
Negotiates and secures the move competitive price for our shipping needs
Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency
Build and maintain a professional relationship with new and existing carriers.
Processing shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders
Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures
Training and supervising the shipping team
Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers
Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment
Documenting processes and reporting to management as required
Defining, measuring and executing carrier KPI's
Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies

Person Specification - Shipping Team Leader

Management/Leadership qualities with excellent influencing and communication skills
Organised, Passionate, Detail Orientated with the ability to work within tight deadlines
Is customer service focused
Fosters change management and is able to onboard stakeholders
Proven ability to work within tight deadlines
Be conversant in the use of Microsoft packages i.e. Word, Excel etc.

Our office is in Manchester on Carnarvon Street near the Printworks, and we have warehouses in Manchester, Holland and the USA.

Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
