Are you dynamic, enthusiastic, great with people yet still manage to be highly organised?

We are looking for a Sales and Events Co-Ordinator to join our Fundraising Team who can sell tickets and support the running of a year-round programme of fundraising events which raises income and builds support for Daisy Chain.

It is a varied and demanding role which will require you to sell Daisy Chain events, acquire gifts and prizes which we can auction and raffle at DC events and maximise the experience of supporters.

Under the guidance of the Corporate Partnership and Events Manager you will work our calendar of events to deliver the best experience for our supporters whilst maximising fundraising activity at the event.

It is a varied and demanding role, needing you tosupport the logistics of eventsas well as delivering memorable experiences for participants that give the satisfaction of supporting a good cause.

The role requires a strong team player who is responsible, methodical and who can demonstrate timely completion of agreed projects whilst remaining flexible.

The Fundraising Sales Coordinator also needs to be able to work on a range of event management projects and tasks concurrently.

You will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and be expected to create long lasting relationships of trust and support.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends, for which time off will be given.

Part-time - Total hours 20 hours per week
Salary - £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (pro-rata)


Job Summary
This exciting role will work with the Fundraising team to increase the Income we raise through our events.

With excellent interpersonal skills the post holder will be tasked with selling and promoting events as well as supporting the Corporate Partnership and Events Manager to deliver Daisy Chain events to generate funds and raise awareness of the charity.

To be successful in this role, were looking for someone with:

Key Tasks

  • To promote and sell events and challenges to our existing and potential supporters
  • Acquire prizes and gifts from community, business and corporate supporters to be utilised at events
  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential supporters.
  • To source new corporate and community support.
  • Monitoring and development of merchandise.
  • Supporting clients in their fundraising activities.
  • Speaking at public events/groups to be an advocate of Daisy Chain and promote what we do.
  • Support the management of Daisy Chains Just Giving page.
  • Keep accurate records of projects and income and provide regular accurate income and expenditure forecasts to Management as appropriate.
  • Provide information and funding reports as requested by Corporate Partnership and Events Manager.
  • Assist with the and communicate the fundraising strategy in line with the business plan.
  • Responsible for supporting events and representing the Charity at events.

Additional responsibilities:


  • Comply with the Charities Health and Safety policy in all employment practices.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Daisy Chain brand in all internal and external communications.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to your role and responsibilities along with a commitment to contribute and maintain the positive working ethos within the Charity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the policies and regulations governing the Charity.
  • Assure attendance at staff meetings.
  • Undertake any training and development deemed necessary for the pursuance of the post.
  • Work in a way that contributes to the continuous improvement of the Charitys services and embraces the organisations quality initiatives.

Knowledge, qualifications & experience

Essential:


  • Good general education
  • Proven experience of events and fundraising
  • Demonstrable experience in sales
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and motivate individuals and groups of volunteers
  • Ability to work within agreed and often tight timescales
  • Understanding of and ability to use and interpret financial
