Description
The Work Control Desk (WCD) handles requests for many different services performed by Facilities Operations & Maintenance employees.

The Work Control Desk is the hub of our operations and should be the first point of contact for customers.

Work Control is responsible for taking calls and online maintenance requests and creating work orders.

The WCD dispatches work orders to the maintenance shops, and help answer questions about the timing and status of the work.

The WCD are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers.- All requests for routine, non-routine, and emergency services are coordinated through this desk.


  • The Work Control Center staff processes all work requests from inception to completion.
  • The WCD lead will also be responsible for gathering and transmitting all work control and labor metrics.
  • The duties may include additional tasks as required from the program business operations office or Facilities Manager.
  • This will include, at a minimum, labor hour verification, invoice validation and weekly work and maintenance metrics.
  • Administration of subcontracts as required
  • Preparation and review of financial documents
  • Preparation and review of project proposals and project controls documents
  • Data entry to CMMS and Work Order systems
  • CMMS infrastructure asset verification
  • Possession of a Procurement Credit Card for use as required
  • Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependant) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.

Condition of Employment

  • Experience in work management and customer service
  • Great communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • A flexible approach to daily tasking
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • A proactive approach to problemsolving
  • Understand how work orders are classified and prioritized.
  • Ensure data quality and fidelity.

Other Job Requirements

  • Must possess an active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Act as the first point of contact for any problems or queries
  • Monitor Trades personnel availability when assigning work.
  • Help to enhance existing processes
  • Is adaptable and technically proficient

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a similar role in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience working with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • A good track record of working in general management across several domains; e.g. finance, facilities, business administration
  • Significant financial experience, including budget data preparation and management
