About the role


Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of Energy Operations direct and contract resources, assets & delivery of workload within a geographical area of the Cadent Network.


Functional Accountabilities

  • Supervising an effective and highly motivated workforce, driving performance delivering yearonyear cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation whilst maintaining worldclass operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Driving performance & productivity of delivery resources and assets (utilizing all sources of MI/Data available)monitoring workforce operational performance to ensure all objectives are met and that problems are anticipated and resolved. Implement Performance Improvement Plans where required
  • Carry out workplace inspections to demonstrate compliance with the required standards/company procedures
  • Manage sickness/absenteeism and performance management procedures for direct reports, to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Acts as the public face of Cadent when responding to complaints and enquiries where required.
  • Ensure all data is captured accurately and handled/stored to comply with Cadent Policies & Procedures
  • Ensure maintenance activities are in full compliance with Safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirements
  • Manage and control of asset risk and identification of investment opportunity within the network.
  • Responsible for engineering compliance of assets
  • Responsible for monitoring asset health
  • Share, promote and participate /implement technical and procedural best practice
  • Accountable for onsite incident supervision and investigation in line with company procedures i.e., Fire, Explosion, Evacuation
  • Take ownership of best practice initiatives and implement across the Network area
  • Ensure individuals comply with policy and work procedures and achieve company standards of service throughout all activities
  • Maintaining competence & assurance of Delivery Resources (internal & directly managed)
  • Developing crossskilled capability of Delivery Resources
  • Assurance of Delivery Resources through AQAD
  • Responsible for delivery of work stack within the defined SLAs (AMP, Reactive, Projects, Customer Driven)Manages interface with Customer Operations to support completion of CO work
  • Compliant delivery of briefings within the Team
  • Take ownership of work delivery schedules from the Technical Support Team ensuring they are technical compliant and meet productivity performance indicators
  • Responsible of the delivery of asset health related project work
  • Driving quality of data capture
  • Ensure full compliance with SCCF process and ensure CDM duties are fully discharged
  • Responsible for safe management of external contractors / internal teams onsite undertaking project (including but not limited to briefings, site security, emergency arrangements, competency etc.)
  • Driving Process Safety to achieve optimal performance
  • Conducting investigations into process safety / asset incidents
  • Provide technical advice/problem solving assistance to address faults on assets
  • 100% compliance with all legislation, policies & procedures
  • Application of project controls, reforecasting, reporting and delivery to plan for all asset health work
  • Reporting of asset condition through agreed data capture systems
  • Supporting design process as required by portfolio team / IPO
  • Enablement of Future Energy Programme
  • Financial document creation & completion e.g., T002, T005 & T00
  • Participate within the Network Operational Standby rota
  • Manage workloads being delivered through the contract framework
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with Cyber policy & procedures

Specialist Accountabilities

  • Manage full G17 process parts A-F for reactive work as appropriate (To be agreed with Portfolio team)
  • Responsible for full compliance with Safe Control of Operations (SCO)
  • Be accountable for onsite incident supervision and investigation in line with company procedures i.e.,Fire, Explosion, Evacuation.
  • Be responsible for the management of the PMAC system within a geographical area, ensuring the system is monitored and alarms dealt with in a timely manner.(If applicable in your areas of control)
