    Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to partner with a prestigious firm of Chartered Accountants based in Birmingham, seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Audit Director. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned audit professional to lead and influence the audit department, driving quality and excellence within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. As an integral part of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the audit strategy, fostering client relationships, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of audit clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead and mentor a team of audit professionals, encouraging their professional growth and ensuring that the firm remains at the forefront of industry best practices. Collaboration with other departments to enhance cross-functional service delivery and contributing to the firm's business development activities will also be key aspects of your role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the audit department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits in accordance with professional standards.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing valuable insights.
    • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and business development initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with a strong track record in audit.
    • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

    Crowe Watson is acting as an Employment Agency, references to pay rates are indicative and salary is dependent on experience.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

    Pay: £75,000.00-£110,000.00 per year

    Benefits:

    • No weekends

    • Accountancy Practice: 8 years (required)
