**Lead Machine Operator- BOBST Expert fold**
Warminster
Permanent - 2 Shift weekly rotation.
Salary:
£30,000 to £33,000 based on experience
Hawk 3 Recruitment are working with a specialist manufacturer based In Warminster to recruit a lead machine operator to join their company on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose:
Manage all aspects of the machine operation, making sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with the necessary materials, and are well maintained.
Specific responsibilities
Lead a small team of 5 to assign the various production responsibilities within the Folder Gluer line to the team accordingly.
Strive to improve production and quality, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set up for their machine are monitored, and targets achieved.
Good understanding of various types of crash lock, envelops 4/ 6 corner packaging.
Monitor product manufacturing process of their machine and implement corrective actions as necessary, including
proper use of the production resources assigned to his machine, assist in proper set up, adhere to required frequency of product checks.
Lead and supervise their machine operation by communicating effectively with their machine teams and counterparts
Deliver their team briefs at the start of the shift, to make sure the cell team is fully informed of workload and
requirements for the shift, encouraging and gathering improvement ideas from the tea.
Provide detailed shift handovers to other operators with focus on quality and any maintenance issues.
Responsible for maintaining the continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating follow up actions and any irregularities.
Optimise the efficiency of the machine by effectively following the maintenance plan programme, established by the engineering team, ensuring any issues or deviations are managed and reported accordingly and all end of shift information is communicated to the Shift Manger.
Issues are highlighted ahead to the shift manager to minimise downtime and waste.
Maintain and calibrate machine and associated devices according to good maintenance practice.
Liaise with other machine operators, departments, and senior management in the implementation of company
policies, procedures, and goals.
Through the utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity,
efficiency, and quality on a continuous basis.
Ensure the Health and Safety standards of operation for all areas are met by their operating team in full.
Knowledge and experience
Relevant Manufacturing experience in BOBST Folder Gluer Machines in Corrugated industry.
A good knowledge of the production requirements of the various product ranges and quality control processes
and requirements within the production schedule, assigning responsibilities within the team accordingly.
Experience of the packaging sector is essential, and knowledge of Bobst gluers is desirable.
Ability to design processes and layouts.
Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re work.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to sustain and develop team working and team
based problem solving.
Aptitude and ability to understand packaging equipment and products.
Enthusiasm and determination to excel.
