What we are looking for:
Kings Oak Academy are looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our supportive and talented team.
We are a diverse multi-Academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students' learning.
To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead who will act as the main point of contact, with lead responsibility within the Academy for safeguarding and child protection in line with statutory requirements.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead should take lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within their Academy.
They will be provided support to discharge their duties through their principal (their line manager) and the Designated Safeguarding Lead Officer for (for professional advice and guidance) the trust.
Duties will also include:
- Produce written reports and audits for internal or CLF analysis and review.
- Lead school based meetings and CPD sessions for safeguarding or wider staff members.
- Line manage members of the wider safeguarding team e.g. DDSLO as directed
