A top-tier firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join the high-performing team.

Their employment team in London is one of few firms ranked as top tier in both leading legal directories, Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including discrimination, HR advisory, unfair dismissal, and more.


Responsibilities:


  • This role will entail a range of contentious, general advisory and transactional employment
work as well as some industrial relations work.

  • Advising clients on a variety of employment law issues
  • Handling both contentious and noncontentious matters
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal, High Court, and appellate courts
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Undertaking business development activities
  • Advising a variety of clients (employers and employees) on both contentious and noncontentious employment law, including: discrimination; TUPE; unfair dismissal; redundancies; settlement agreements; data theft, the misappropriation of confidential information, the employment aspects of corporate transactions and other contractual issues.

Requirements:


  • 4.5+ years PQE in employment law from a reputable practice
  • Strong academic record
  • Solid transactional, advisory, and litigation experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and takes initiative
