Managing Associate - Financial Regulation (Payments) 4+yPQE

About the Role
As a Managing Associate, you'll be at the forefront of client interactions, providing regulatory advice on a range of payment services for both bank and non-bank payment service providers (PSPs) and e-money issuers.
You'll be involved in drafting business-to-business B2B and business-to-consumer B2C agreements, assisting clients with authorizations and compliance matters, and providing support to our transactional teams.
You'll work closely with senior members of the team, gaining hands-on experience in advising on regulatory aspects of payment services and e-money, as well as on the development of new financial products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on regulatory aspects of payment services and emoney.
- Draft B2C and B2B agreements and assist clients with compliance matters.
- Support transactional teams with regulatory guidance.
- Provide advice on customer journeys and draft terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex financial regulation issues.
- Engage in business development initiatives and contribute to proposals and pitches.
Qualifications and Expertise
- At least 4 years PQE as a qualified solicitor with a focus on financial regulation.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory framework for payment services and emoney in the UK and Europe.
- Experience in corporate transactional work and commercial contracts.
- Ability to deliver clear, concise, and practical advice to clients.
- Strong organizational skills and a flexible approach to meeting deadlines.
- Excellent business development skills and a proactive approach to client management.
