Sulzer, a world-leading manufacturer of pumping, agitation, mixing, separation, and purification technologies, is seeking a Production Planner to join our vibrant team in Leeds.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Develop production schedules and plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimising costs.
  • Coordinate with various departments including production, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Utilize SAP to manage production orders, material requirements, and capacity planning.
  • Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in production planning within an engineering or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
