    Job Title: Consultant Ecologist

    Salary: £27,000 – £32,000

    Locations: Kent

    We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist to join a unique family-run consultancy in Kent. As a key partner to Network Rail and other Contractors, they provide cutting edge ecology and arboricultural services.     As a Consultant Ecologist, your duties will be to:

    • Provide support and in-depth guidance in many aspects of ecological conservation.
    • Advise on habitat management and current wildlife legislation, as required.
    • Produce technical reports in a timely manner and to a high standard.
    • Undertake ecological surveying and logistics planning at a variety of sites, as required.
    • Undertake Preliminary Ecological Assessments (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (ECiAs) and Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRAs).
    • Lead on protected species surveys and reports, depending on experience and/or survey licenses.
    • Lead on ecological data collation, analysis, monitoring and reporting.

    To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position you will need:

    • Degree in a relevant subject
    • Ecological consultancy experience
    • One or more protected species licences, or be working towards them
    • Hold membership with CIEEM
