Transport Planner Wanted

Based in Walsall

Salary £27,000 - £29,000PA
**7.30am - 4.00pm - Earlier finish on a Friday
**We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

To have a good understanding of delivery distribution planning procedures.
A good geographical knowledge of the UK's major town, cities and road network.
Good written and verbal communication skills and confident at developing relationships with internal and external parties.
Must be highly computer literate, with a standard knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel.
Keen attention to detail with the ability to make key decisions to support the smooth day to day running within the transport planning team. A selfstarting, proactive and handson individual who can offer proactive solutions.
Strong organisational and time management skills and able to meet tight deadlines and respond to urgent deliveries or issues that arise

Duties

Planning of HGV Drivers from 7.5t to Class 1 Drivers
Placing Drivers into different roles with different clients
Building relationships with your Drivers and Clients
Working towards financial targets
Ensuring Driver compliance is perfect at 100%
Working flexible times throughout the day
