Description

Our client is one of the countries leading experts as a Industrial Service Provider who provide many engineering components and technical services which cover a wide range of areas.

They have available for the position for a Winder to join them.

The winder's role involves:

The inspection of motors for damage and any malfunctions
The testing of motors and associated equipment prior to any remedial work
Report on damaged equipment and work with management to decide on appropriate action
Dismantle / strip the motor keeping any parts that can be reused
Rewind a variety of electromagnetic equipment including single phase, three phase, AC equipment, DC fields, armatures, wound rotor and transformers
Assist in testing the refurbished product
A formal training or qualification in winding within a motor environment
Some experience of both AC and DC winding, although just AC would be considered
The ability to carry out fitting tasks as well as winding
An awareness and ability to work in a safe manner at all times
