Vacancy
We are looking for an experienced receptionist at Brian Jackson House, New North Parade, Huddersfield. The hours of work are 15 per week; Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm


Salary
£ gross for 15 hours £19,838 FTE. £10.90 gross per hour


Purpose of the job

  • To provide a high standard of service to all visitors, tenants and staff at Brian Jackson House
  • To act as first point of contact for all visitors and manage any issues as they arise
  • To support various projects as required.
  • To support the Service Coordinator and Building Service Manager in all aspects

Main activities
Customer Service

  • To maintain front of house services at Brian Jackson House, for staff, tenants and visitors.
  • To attend to visitor enquiries and direct to relevant department, or signpost to relevant service
Administration

  • To manage and administer room bookings, maintain, and update information electronically & in hard copy and produce documents as required
  • To maintain a standard of service of room hire, equipment resources, setting up rooms, cleaning and catering
  • To administer cash & card payments
  • To maintain the building maintenance check sheet records
Health & Safety

  • To report accidents / incidents within the building to the Buildings Manager and contact relevant contractors as required
  • To work safely at all times within the building, in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and YCC policies. Acting as fire warden & completing Health & Safety checks as required
  • Ensuring all COSH information is correct and up to date
  • Carry out weekly fire alarm testing

Knowledge, training and experience required

  • Previous experience in a busy office/ reception environment.
  • Ability to manage a large workload and be able to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent general administration and clerical skills
  • Confident using Microsoft office packages

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15 per week

£8,502.00 per year
