    Description

    SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
    Are you a recent psychology graduate looking for a role to positively impact the lives of remarkable pupils with complex learning needs? Do you want to gain valuable experience in a school-based setting to help you in your future career?

    Location: Smethwick, Birmingham
    Salary: £80-£90 per day

    Working in a small SEND unit within a primary school to support children with severe learning disabilities and complex additional needs.


    • At least a bachelor's degree in psychology, or a related field.
    • Understanding of complex needs and how to offer support.
    • Adaptable and flexible personality.
    • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with diverse needs.
    • Preferred experience working with children with complex needs.

    The Role
    As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support children with complex learning needs in a flexible and empathetic manner to ensure their development of essential social and academic skills.

    You will provide support in 1-2-1 and small group settings tailored to each student's needs.

    You will collaborate closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress to create effective support strategies and adjust learning materials accordingly.
