About The Creation Station:

The Creation Station is a renowned provider of creative arts and crafts experiences for children and adults. We are dedicated to fostering creativity and imagination within our communities. We are seeking Session/Party Leaders to organise and lead children's workshops and parties. Full and part time positions are available.

Full time salary is £22,308 (pro rata for part time hours)


We are running up to 5 sessions a week of after school clubs, and each session is around 2 hours including travelling and setting up.

We are flexible in how many sessions a week you can do, whether it is one a week or up to 5 a week.


Main Purpose of Role:

Organise and deliver children's arts and crafts workshops and 'Arty Party' birthday entertainment, including, but not limited to:
a. Responding to customer enquiries;
b. Liaising with the named contact at the host location to ensure adequate facilities;
c. Organising a timetable for activities during the session;
d. Setting up facilities for the session and clearing away after;
e. Delivering activities during the session;
f. Collecting session fees from attendees (where applicable)


  • Ensure the wellbeing of all children attending any session.
  • Supervision of the Creation Station Assistant (where applicable).
  • Promote the activities of the Creation Station, acting as an ambassador for the brand.
  • Carry out administrative duties as required including, but not limited to risk assessments and registers.
  • Handle customer complaints in a calm, non-confrontational and courteous manner, taking responsibility for ensuring follow-up actions are taken and promptly informing your line manager.
  • Perform basic first aid duties where necessary.
  • Dealing with the retail area where required, including cash and stock control.
  • Work at all times in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to follow all company procedures and guidelines which assist this.
  • Undertake any training deemed necessary to the role.
  • Work at all times in accordance with the Creation Station's Dignity and Diversity Policy.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job as directed.


St Helena Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care to local people facing incurable illness in Northeast Essex, supporting them, their families, friends, and carers.

It costs approximately £20M each year to run St Helena's charitable services. Only 27% of this money comes from the NHS. The rest is raised through fundraising, charity shops, lottery, and the franchises we run, such as Creation Station.
