We are seeking an individual with the ability to form strong working relationships, and will ideally have experience of working with Facilities management.

The successful applicant should be organised, a great communicator, have previous management experience and be able to provide visible leadership across the organisation.


The Facilities Service Lead will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Facilities Team Leaders and Facilities Assistants.

Working across a range of services including Domestics, Portering and Linen Services, the Facilities Service Lead will be able to provide strong visible leadership, whilst delivering an agreed programme of improvement to all aspects of the areas, ensuring that services are high quality, safe, efficient, effective and patient focussed.

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions provides a range of Estates, Facilities, Supplies and Procurement services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

The company is a separate legal body to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS.

To ensure that all Facilities Team Leaders receive training in core HR policies such as Equality and Diversity, Disciplinary, Sickness Absence, Recruitment, Workforce Change and are competent to deal with first line HR issues.


To ensure a culture of continuous challenge exists in the service areas, ensuring that progressive solutions, which take into account models of best practice, are incorporated into service plans.


To help provide and promote a culture within the service areas where staff feel empowered and accountable for service improvement at local level.


Arrange to routinely monitor planned and scheduled departmental duties, and be responsible in ensuring that all service KPIs are achieved and monitored on a regular basis, and to attend regular performance review meetings.


Responsible for ensuring that staff duty rosters are compliant to meet the needs of the MSA in line with set service level agreements, deal with, and manage any additional ad-hoc requests.

Accountable for escalating potential risks as appropriate to the Deputy Head of Operations. These risks may be operational, related to knowledge and people, financial, compliance or risk to the LLP.


Ensure that all equipment used by staff is operated in a correct and safe manner using appropriate methods of work following training.

Oversee the reporting of maintenance defects of all associated equipment and materials according to agreed procedures.
