The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams, as well as a deep understanding of financial markets and investment management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering team, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and driving innovation to enhance our competitive advantage.
Build and mentor a team of talented software engineers, data scientists, and technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions to support asset management functions, including portfolio management, risk analysis, trading, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, risk management, operations, and client services, to define technology requirements and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients and business stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in asset management and financial services, leveraging insights to inform technology strategy and drive business growth.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards, implementing robust controls and processes to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience (10 years) in technology leadership roles within the asset management or financial services industry, with a deep understanding of investment management processes and financial products.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and drive results.Expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies, including but not limited to Python, R, SQL, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), and big data technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, FINRA, GDPR) and security best practices in the financial services industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
