We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite - a unique multi-nutrient fertiliser - along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing, and distribution.
Job Description:
- Join us as our Security Specialist where you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of physical security controls as defined within the Security Strategy and the supervision of the contracted security provision across the project.
- Manage the operational security at Woodsmith and other operational sites as required.
- Identify security issues and assess risk levels with actions put in place to mitigate.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders including the police and the Company's security contractor to develop intelligence networks, partnership working to support risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Manage cross functional ways of working and integration of security functions with internal partners, including key processes and procedures, to keep operational sites and entities safe.
- Lead on the implementation of riskbased security strategies that will improve the efficiency of threat identification and risk mitigation, and ensure all operational sites and entities are secured and safe.
- Lead and conduct investigations and track progress including risks, major developments, dependencies, etc.
- Manage operational intelligence networks.
- Liaise with ABAS and Group Security regarding high risk and sensitive investigations.
- Implement compliance with Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
- Ensure data controlled within the Security function is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- Support with the Company's drugs and alcohol testing protocols.
- Undertake Bronze Commander training and undertake the role when required.
- Lead site access control steering team advising on access protocols, access control system placement and mustering protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Security Management and or in investigating criminal or civil offences.
Knowledge of related legislation and legal processes.
Experience in Compliance and Risk Assessment.
Additional Information
- A valid UK/in country driving license is required for this role.
This role will require a company medical assessment in line with the role requirements.
