A vacancy has arisen for Band 8a Lead Cardiac Physiologist specialising in Electrophysiology (EP,) Services within Cardiothoracic Services at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (C&V UHB).


As the appointed clinical lead, you oversee the delivery of the EP Service, playing a pivotal role supporting the CC and device services also.

Your responsibilities will encompass the efficient management of our workflow, the co-ordination of staff and the delivery of seamless patient care.

The applicant must be working independently in EP currently, and be proficient in simple and complex arrhythmia ablation procedures.

The EP platforms in use at C&V UHB include CARTO and Rhythmia (both supported by industry reps), and balloon-based single-shot technology.

Leadless pacing and Pulse-field ablation will be incorporated in due course.

The scope of EP procedures performed is wide, extending from diagnostic studies at one end to epicardial ventricular ablation at the other.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
