- Degree level qualification in English, communications, journalism or a related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent IT skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Adobe design software or equivalent programme and desktop publishing
- Experience of working in the NHS or other public sector organisation
- Experience and familiarity in using video editing software, photography, video and multi-media production. Experience of using and maximising the use of digital communications and social media. Experience and confidence in using social media and desire to find new and innovative ways to communicate with our people, patients and the community through digital networks.

We are keen to use our digital platforms as part of this transformation. The digital communications lead role offers great opportunities to develop the digital communications agenda at PAHT. We are looking for a talented communications professional with excellent digital skills, who will be committed to putting our patients at the heart of all we do.
Main duties of the job
The digital communications lead is responsible for leading, planning, developing and advising on all corporate digital communications platforms. They will have a lead responsibility to maximise our digital presence, including digital campaigns. They will be a confident videographer, video editor, photographer, a creative desktop designer (graphic design software e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva) and a strong copywriter, to create a mixed portfolio of messages and assets through our website, extranet and social media channels.
They will lead on ensuring that our digital platforms engage our audiences, develop, continually improve and are aligned to changing digital trends. They will use platform analytics and user feedback to measure performance and continuously enhance our digital content. They will already be working in a senior digital communications role and will also have extensive social media management experience. They will be experienced in developing and delivering digital communications strategies. The role is strongly operational and creative, based on a strategic understanding and drive.
