Temporary HR Generalist Advisor Reference no: 59 per hour PAYE 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 3 months City: RUGBY Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week Provide a high quality and professional people management advice to the Council in respect of all its employees at Work Services Unit.

This post will have an 'on the ground' role of providing sound HR advice to managers, employees and other stakeholders.

In support to the HR Business Partner in their role in their strategic lead within Work Services Unit, this person should take the lead in HR initiatives and caseload on all ER issues, recruitment and selection, occupational health and welfare, pay and grading matters.

Provides advice and support to our stakeholders in the application of all Human Resource policies and procedures, employment legislation and ACAS Code of Practice.

Supports the HR Business Partner with any restructures and change management processes. This also includes supporting employees at risk of redundancy.
On-going development and coaching of line managers to improve their people management skills at the Work Services Unit. This may include bite size training offers to groups of managers and employees.
Coaching and mentoring employees within Work Services Unit.

Taking the lead within this area of the organisation and carrying out HR drop-in sessions monthly, to meet the needs of the service.

Fosters good working relationships with recognised trade unions, and a healthy employee relations climate within Work Services Unit and the rest od the organisation.

In conjunction with the HR Business Partner, takes steps to ensure that any significant staffing changes proposed are subject to proper consultation with relevant staff and/or with the trade unions.

Along with the HR Business Partner, they will engage with the job evaluation scheme(s).
