About The Role:


Position Summary


They are responsible for maintenance, revision, adaptation, and modernisation of the portfolio, to enable the offerings to be sold, contracted, and operated successfully by the Customer Success and Growth team.

The Business Apps, Data, and Cloud Portfolio Lead is responsible for identifying future innovation in collaboration with Portfolio Architecture and Technology Practices to develop the next-generation services and solutions.

The Business Apps, Data, and Cloud Portfolio Lead is part of a team representing a portfolio with over £110m + per annum in revenue.


The key objectives will be to:

  • Develop and innovate a multisolution portfolio which will contribute to our revenue growth and marginality that align with Claranet goals
  • Develop and maintain portfolio and product pricing that is in line with the market and ensures commercial performance.
  • Contribute to the target of 70% of services are scalable and repeatable.
  • Create and maintain an uptodate product / service catalogue.
  • Ensure high employee satisfaction.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Build and continually evolve a portfolio consisting of Business Applications, Data, and Cloud services which drives growth and profitability within an evolving customer base.
  • Consolidate, simplify, and initiate decommissioning of legacy systems working with technology delivery teams, and launch all new products and services onto the strategic IT stack where possible.
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics trends and customer feedback to ensure Claranet's proposition continuously challenges the market and creates differentiation.
  • Work closely with the Technology Practices, Customer Success, and Growth team to ensure that their Portfolio forms part of a cohesive Claranet customer proposition, solution, and service.
  • Work with strategic alliances, partners, and suppliers to align propositions and portfolio.
  • Ensure that customer experience and developing lifetime value is at the forefront in all we develop.

People Leadership

  • Lead cross functional teams in the development, launch and inlife management of products and services.
  • Responsible for career development and performance of c.5 direct reports to ensure the team's capabilities are in line with Claranet's strategic ambition.
  • As required, oversee the planning and recruitment of new employees and teams to support the achievement of business goals. Collaborate with the HR and People team to attract, develop and retain great talent.
  • Lead and coach a highperformance Portfolio team.

Customer Experience and Managed Services - ensure we are consistently providing the best service to our customers, proactively monitoring their needs, and integrating their feedback into our future portfolio and propositions.

Customer Success and Growth - ensure that the portfolio is up to date, meets customer needs and enables cross and up selling. Agree Portfolio Mix, Volumes and Targets to ensure alignment.

Finance and Corporate Development - contribute to the budget process for portfolio and propositions development.

HR and People - support recruitment and learning and development strategies to develop industry leading product and service offerings.
