We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the Finance team to cover a period of maternity.

The purpose of this role is to direct the Accounts Payable (AP) function to improve its efficiency and to sustain improvement, responding effectively to changing situations and demands.

Our Finance team provide financial reporting, control and accountancy across the business.


Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Supervising and be the primary point of contact for issues for the AP team
  • The running of regular data reports to allow for the analysis & prioritising of tasks
  • Ownership of key supplier accounts requiring extra focus for solution
  • Training and coaching of staff within the team to ensure optimum performance via people development
  • Partnering with the wider business to ensure ongoing education on the Accounts Payable process
  • Regular oneones to review query lists with team to support resolution
  • Regular liaison with the supply chain team ensuring the required data is produced, exchanged, and discussed to timely resolutions.

We are looking for:


  • Qualification by experience
  • Extensive experience within an Accounts Payable function
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping & accounting practices & systems
  • Computer literate within MS Excel
  • Ability to supervise, mentor and manage at team
  • Previous people management competency preferred.
