The role:

Hours: 1.5 hours per day (7.5 hrs per week) between 11.45 to 1.15 pm, Term-time only (38 weeks)


We require caring people to join our team of Midday Assistants helping the children from Reception to Year 14 during lunch time.

We are an all-age (4-19), mixed school, for children with Moderate, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).


The position involves the general supervision of pupils to and from the dining hall and/or classrooms and other designated areas, as well as assisting with the supervision of pupils whilst they are eating.

The role also involves supervising pupils on the playground and undertaking appropriate playground activities. Some pupils have personal care needs and therefore the position may involve assisting with any personal care needs. Advice, guidance and training on working with children will be given.

The school is designated as a Specialist School for Cognition and Learning and has been recently accredited by the National Autistic Society as an Advanced Accredited School
