At Powered by CAN, we are dedicated to fostering creative and cultural skills among the youth of the Black Country, igniting career pathways, empowering creative enterprises, and catalysing opportunities for impactful change through collaboration with young minds.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Creative Producer to spearhead our mission, serving as a catalyst for arts, culture, and civic transformation.


Responsibilities:


  • Craft a Manifesto: Lead the development of a comprehensive manifesto outlining best practices for engaging and collaborating with young people, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Cultivate Youth Culture: Provide steadfast support to our Youth Culture Board, nurturing their creativity and guiding their initiatives to fruition.
  • Career Development: Collaborate with young individuals to devise personalised career plans, offering guidance and resources to help them achieve their professional aspirations.
  • Design Innovative Programs: Conceptualise and execute dynamic training programmes and events tailored to the needs and interests of the youth community, fostering skill development and experiential learning.
  • Foster Community Engagement: Organise and host regional youth summits, serving as a platform for dialogue, networking, and collective action on issues pertinent to young people.

Youth Voices:

Represent the interests and perspectives of young people in leadership forums and decision-making bodies, championing their rights and priorities.


Personal Qualities

  • A deep passion for empowering youth and driving positive change in underserved communities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders, including young people, educators, community leaders, and policymakers.
  • Proven experience in project management, event coordination, and programme development within the creative or youth empowerment sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and compellingly.
  • A creative mindset with a track record of innovative thinking and problemsolving.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, ensuring all youth have equal access to opportunities and resources.
