The Adult Speech and Language Therapy Community Team in Betsi Cadwaladr Centre have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Band Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Community Speech and Language Therapy team in a full time permanent post. The successful applicant for this post will hold a caseload of patients with Adult Learning Disabilities and Mental health needs.
The Adult learning Disabilities Team within the Community Speech and Language Therapy Team provides assessment and treatment of communication and dysphagia for patients with a learning disability and/or Mental health needs in the community, working collaboratively with the patient their families and carers. The successful candidate will also provide training in communication and dysphagia to patients with learning disabilities, their carers and their families as required.
As a successful candidate, you will have a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration. We will consider applications from final year Speech and Language Therapy students. We would consider appointing the successful candidate on reduced hours and at a band until completion of their degree course and full qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist is obtained.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills (including observation, listening and empathy skills) to support the individual needs of patients, and families, working together with other professionals.
