Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic SEMH school in Runcorn. Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with their learning and manage their emotional and mental health.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement effective support strategies.
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and report on students' progress, adapting approaches as necessary.Requirements:

Relevant experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an SEMH or similar setting.
Understanding of SEMH and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.To be considered for this position you will:

have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
Be a committed professional
Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
have satisfactory references
have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
