Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN TA (Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant) to work with non-verbal students.
As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting students with autism and other special needs.

Duties:
- Work closely with nonverbal students, providing individualised support and guidance
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Implement strategies to promote communication and social interaction
- Support students in their educational and personal development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Provide assistance with daily tasks, including personal care, if required
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians
- Help manage challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques and strategies
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students, promoting their selfesteem and confidence
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, to effectively interact with nonverbal students
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting nonverbal students
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students
- Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of each student
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all students
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them overcome challenges

Salary:
£15.00-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
