- Tracing frames, transferring shapes and Blocking lenses to customer requirement
- Edging on Manual edgers and assembly of Metal, Plastic, Supra and Rimless frames
- Edging and assembly of bespoke frames
- Verifying out completed orders to ISO standard and Customer requirement
- Achieving Department KPI's(glazing yield, Return Yield, Frame Breakage)
- Priortising orders by delivery date
- Supporting colleague and team (In particular the Assembly Glazing team)
- Verifying in lenses to optical ISO standard and customer requirement
- Previous experience working within an optical glazing laboratory environment
- Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive and supporting manner
- Ability to use manual focimeter to include marking up of lenses
- Extensive optical lens knowledge
- Excellent practical knowledge of tracing
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and targets
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret alpha/numerical writing to an exceptional level of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

A leading lens manufacturer based in South Gloucestershire are looking to recruit a full time Optical Glazing Technician.
The company has an excellent reputation for supplying high quality lenses into Opticians all across the UK.
The Role
Requirements
They currently have two different shift patterns available;
Mon to Fri - 8am to 4pm - £24,500 plus 6% bonus
Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm - Bi weekly- £23,500 plus shift allowance (£ % bonus
The odd Sat is available and paid as overtime.
