Professional Support - Law & Policy

What does this job involve?

  • Providing PA functions for the L&P and L&I manager, including diary and inbox management.
  • Providing general admin support to the L&P and L&I team including meeting arrangements (internal and external), archiving, printing, preparing documents/packs, organising training sessions, agendas and minutetaking, travel booking, organising, and uploading Project Board update papers, IT requests, room bookings and creating Purchase Orders.
  • Responsibility for records management, maintaining manual and electronic filing system.
  • Preparing management information, documents and spreadsheets using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Working cooperatively with the other Administrators to provide cover for holidays.
  • Point of Contact for SharePoint enquiries.
  • Assist Expert Groups with Admin.
  • Maintain the Team OneNote knowledge pages.
  • Maintain the LPI Pulse pages.
  • Support for recruitment activities.
  • Induction of new members of staff and keeping induction materials up to date
  • Away day and event organisation and support.

Required proven experience in a specific technical area or skill:

  • Excellent knowledge of Outlook and other key MS software, in particular Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential and staffsensitive information to FCA standards of handling.
  • Experience of a busy administrative position.
  • Essential criteria_
  • Ability to look ahead, plan work and act on own initiative; as well as being a team player with a flexible and willing approach.
  • Good organisational and time management skills; able to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Efficient organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to interact with people at all levels (oral & written).
  • Flexible, willing to get things done and a cando attitude.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a good eye for detail.
  • Desirable criteria_
  • A good understanding of the FCA, the work we do, our structure and objectives.
  • Familiarity with the FCA's operational policies, procedures & programmes and the capability to demonstrate the FCA's Cultural Characteristics.

Useful Information

  • This role is graded as Professional Support
  • Level 10
  • The salary range is £26,000 to £38,500 plus a competitive
- benefits package
and non-contributory pension
