We currently have an exciting Permanent opportunity within the Pay & Pensions Services Department for a Pay Services Support Clerk.
We are looking for a person who can work as part of a team and on their own initiative and who has a "can do" attitude.

Working for our organisation
The post holder will be expected to work at City Campus when in the office.
The working hours will be 37.5hrs per week between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, the Finance Department currently runs a flexible working scheme, but there will be times when the post holder will be expected to work 9am - 5pm.
There is also the option to work from home once fully trained, or do a combination of office and home working.
Our team currently make monthly salary payments and administer the Pension for in excess of 19,000 staff at NUH.
We administer several salary sacrifice schemes for around 7,000 of these staff members and run a busy helpdesk which supports Trust staff and managers.
We run a weekly payroll of around 300 staff.This post supports the Pay Services department by:
- Dealing with all incoming post
Being part of the team who answer phone calls which come in to the Pay Services Helpdesk
All associated administration tasks
As a key member of the our team, the post holder will work alongside their direct team and will also liaise with other Pay Services staff and managers, HR and Finance colleagues in the course of their duties.

- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's "We are here for you" behavioural standards

- Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent inc. English and Mathematics
- Numerical and analytical skills
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
- NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent Payroll Qualification

- Able to devise and use spreadsheets.
- Minimum six months' office experience

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
