About you:


  • You would be an experienced Senior Care Assistant who holds a minimum of NVQ level
  • Whilst being reliable and trustworthy, you would be able to work as part of a team & unsupervised.
  • As a forward thinker, you would be selfmotivated and able to motivate and lead a team of care assistants.
  • Showing leadership skills, you would be able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to adhoc situations.
  • Showing patience, empathy and care, you would be able to communicate with others using both oral and written skills.

Main Purpose of the Job


Team Leaders provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of our residential care homes for older people.

Our Senior staff lead on the social care and support for our residents.


Reporting to the Home Manager, Senior Care Assistants are responsible for allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants - acting as a role model in the delivery and promotion of best practice at all times.

Our Senior Care Assistants also help to provide personal care to our residents and support with their nutrition, mobility and well-being.

Once assessed as competent under the guidance of the Home Manager, a Senior Care Assistant will also be required to undertake clinical tasks which may include:

  • Checking blood sugar levels;
  • Change a simple dressings;
  • PEG feeding;
  • Medication administration;
  • Basic Observations;
  • Catheter care;

How we look after our staff?
Routine LFT's and mask wearing is required to ensure that we keep all our staff and residents safe


Salary:
£12.30-£13.30 per hour
