Description
- Ensuring timely and accurate production of the statutory accounts.
- Project management and oversight of the UK group audit, coordinating deliverables and managing deadlines alongside the audit team.
- Calculate adjustments required to convert accounts to UK GAAP.
- Assist the auditors with queries and liaise with the appropriate business contacts to ensure that necessary answers are provided.
- Prepare tax calculations.
Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Financial reporting experience within a financial services organisation, ideally banking.
- Handson experience in producing statutory accounts within a financial services environment.
- Experience in audit either as an auditor or having owned the audit process for a large organisation.
- Strong IT skills, especially in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc).
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Likes to challenge how/why things are done.
