Description

The Supply Room are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join one of its partner schools in Bristol and provide essential classroom support to the school team in a primary setting.

As the successful applicant, you will join a closely-knit team at the heart of a rapidly improving school that has been recognised for its commitment to inspiring teachers, providing top quality education and embracing a family-like atmosphere.

This role is a Full-time, term-time only position, offering between £82.50 and £90 per day, dependant on experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant will ideally have the following:

A passion for working with children, inspiring them, and motivating them to achieve their personal best.
Experience of working with children as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Knowledge of early years and foundation stage development
A caring and empathetic disposition
A good understanding of the national curriculum
A good knowledge of Special Educational Needs
The confidence to work with both children and staff in the classroom.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to find yourself:

Preparing the classroom for lessons, and supporting children with their learning
Aiding teachers with daytoday tasks such as marking, assessing, and providing feedback to pupils
Assisting the teacher in exposing pupils to new and creative educational activities
Monitoring pupil behaviour, intervening when necessary, and contributing to internal records
Supporting the teacher with wholeclass teaching
Guiding and motivating pupils
Offering individual and small group support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
