- Assessment and Feedback: Assist with the assessment of students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Behaviour Management: Support the maintenance of a positive and inclusive learning environment, implementing behaviour management strategies and providing pastoral support to students as needed.
- Resource Preparation: Prepare and organise teaching resources and materials, ensuring classrooms are conducive to learning and teaching objectives are met.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to meet the individual needs of students and promote their overall well-being.
HLTA Qualification is Level 4- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- Knowledge of educational principles, strategies, and best practices for supporting student learning and development.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
- Additional training or qualifications in specific areas such as SEN support, behaviour management, or subject-specific knowledge would be advantageous.
