This is an exciting opportunity to join our Recoveries and Collections team as a Recoveries and Collections Specialist.

You will be responsible for all day-to-day tasks in managing our late stage collections and recoveries and we are looking for someone who has previous experience in a late collections roles within a retail environment.

This is a hybrid-based role (three days in the office) and the role attracts a salary range of up to £40k per annum (depending on your experience) plus bonus (10%) and great benefits.


Role Purpose:

  • Support the relationship with the Outsourced Debt Providers and own the governance framework to ensure that debt exposure is reduced and monthly KPIs are achieved.
  • Manage thirdparty suppliers and monitor KPI performance, reviewing our Competency and Performance (CAP) process and ensuring we reduce the overall debt position.
  • Be proactive in antimoney laundering, all compliance reporting and dealing with vulnerability and debt.

Role Specifics:

  • Ensure effective communications with Outsourced Debt Providers, reporting key issues when they arise.
  • Solid understanding of the recovery and collections process, ensuring reporting and systems are updated accordingly in a timely manner (especially in terms of National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NAVCIS) and Credit Industry Fraud Avoidance System (CIFAS).
  • Have a good understanding of how to treat vulnerable customers and Consumer Duty.
  • Have regular conversations with our thirdparty suppliers so we understand trends and can act upon them.
  • Ensure invoice debts are collected in a timely manner.


Knowledge & Experience Experienced in late collections and recoveries within a retail environment.- Good communication skills, and in particular, fluency in business English language.- Previous experience within a regulated collection and recovery field would be preferred.- Experience in delivering high levels of customer service & problem resolution.- Understanding of National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NAVCIS) and Credit Industry Fraud Avoidance System (CIFAS).- Good understanding of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)/Consumer Duty and how this translates into effective and compliant working practices.- Ability to participate in a team environment and work independently when required.
