Sustainability, and in particular delivery of regulatory change to support the sustainability agenda is a key priority for M&G; there is a significant roadmap of change to deliver in 2023 and into 2024 as well as evolving external landscape where the strategyis increasingly being set by regulation.

M&G have therefore, identified a need to appoint a key programme lead role to deliver all sustainability regulatory change.

Working in collaboration with key stakeholders from across the business, this is a high profilerole with significant career potential both within the sustainability arena as well as more broadly across transformation and change.

With a dual reporting line to the Global Head of Regulatory Change and the Sustainability Programme Director, the Sustainability Regulatory Programme Lead role will have end-to-end ownership of delivering a critical programme of work that is aligned to thesustainability strategy and regulatory agenda.

The lead will be responsible for the delivery of the entire programme plan ensuring dependencies are interlocked and all stakeholders are effectively managed.

Immediate focus will be on delivery of current roadmap priorities including remaining activity to complete SFDR, TCFD and SDR, as well as ensuring the programme is ready to support the longer term sustainability regulatory change agenda.

The lead will be requiredto plan the full life-cycle of the programme and engage with change delivery and business SME teams, together with 3 rd parties and regulators as required.


Key Responsibilities for this role:


  • Leading from the front, design, plan and own the endtoend delivery of a programme of work with multiple project subprojects/workstreams.
  • Manage delivery in line with the approved spend through understanding the drivers of project costs and variance and taking actions to control costs or raise change control where appropriate.
  • Implement and drive programme governance and controls to support delivery and drive decision making; ensure objective data is consistently provided to governance forums (e.g. steering committees and working groups).
  • Secure resources to deliver the programme, providing strong leadership across multiple teams, business functions and SME, providing input that takes in to account the different levels of influence and interests of each stakeholder and motivating stakeholdersto deliver the programme.
  • Maintain oversight of the programme through setting clear priorities and responsibilities and coordinate planning across multiple Project Managers and delivery teams, giving due consideration to firm wide priorities and dependencies and optimising the programmeplans to maximise benefits as required.
  • Proactively ensure key risks and issues/blockers across the programme are actively managed, ensuring mitigating actions are put in place to close risks when appropriate.
  • Ensure management of the integration of programme outcomes into business as usual addresses the operational readiness of users, compatibility of work systems and the realisation of benefits.
  • Build effective relationships key stakeholders by breaking down barriers; meeting regularly to review the change to support the delivery outcomes and business benefits.
  • Lead a team of c. 1020, guiding them to deliver project objectives, following standards and providing assurance over deliverables.
  • Ensure that the M&G Project Change Standards are adhered to throughout change delivery for programme of work so they support the successful delivery of business outcomes across the programmes and projects your team is assigned to.

  • Within the organisation, be the visible owner of the sustainability regulatory programme delivery, with focus on complex outcomes transcending the entire M&G organisation
  • Confident and effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels, (including executive and C-Suite), including articulation of complex issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate, influence and constructively challenge where appropriate.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of stakeholder to build consensus and overcome challenges.
  • Confident in facilitating complex and large scale workshops with senior stakeholders
  • Ex ceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple resources, priorities and deliverables to tight deadlines.
  • Good listening skills to demonstrate an understanding of different perspectives
  • Advanced report writing and presentation skills, to communicate ideas in both technical and userfriendly language.
  • Collaborative approach and able to work with a range of project/programme managers, business analysts and SMEs, including virtual teams across the organisation and globally.
  • Able to resolve conflicts within project environments and across stakeholder groups.
  • Strong planning, organising, and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple resources, priorities, and deliverables to tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and selfdirected.
  • Strong riskmindset programmes; proactive approach to mitigation
  • Good knowledge of asset management, and ideally particular regulatory change sustainability specific knowledge an advantage

Experience:


  • Significant experience with a demonstrable track record of enterprise wide endtoend delivery of complex change/transformation programmes, to required time, cost, quality and outcome objectives.
  • Extensive experiencing of working effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Managing and leading cross functional teams. Delivery of regulatory change within an asset manage
