    Description

Want to progress research to improve patient care? We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic pharmacist who shares our Trust values to join our expanding clinical trials and research team at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Mersey Care is at the forefront of clinical trials for mental health, putting our staff and service users at the leading edge of new mental health research.

Based within the Medicines Management team, you will join a dynamic, forward-thinking and patient-focused team striving for excellence in the delivery of integrated community and mental health services.

Mersey Care and the University of Liverpool have recently teamed up to create the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC), aiming to improve mental health treatments (and access to them) for all patients and service users.

The pharmacy clinical trials service plays an integral role through the development and delivery of Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs).

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and research and clinical trials service, providing specialist information and advice to all members of the multi-disciplinary team, to maximise patient pharmaceutical care and to improve mental health care for patients and service users.

The post holder will participate in the dispensary rota to ensure that medicines are supplied in an accurate and timely manner.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services.

Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

We're currently delivering a programme of organisational and service transformation to significantly improve the quality of the services we provide and safely reduce cost as we do so.

Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
