About the job:

Key Deliverables:The student will be involved in a portfolio of projects and internal development initiatives in offshore renewables.
Tasks are likely to include:
- Assisting in the development of updates to Kent's inhouse virtual wind farm tool through reviewing methodologies for geotechnical design of various foundation types (pin piles, monopiles, suction buckets, gravity bases) for concept level, their implementation in the tool and the associated validation.
- Support the geotechnical team in project work; activities may include processing of soil investigation data for characterisation, design of fixed foundations for offshore wind, design of anchors for floating offshore wind, installation assessment for piled foundations or suction bucket foundations.
The student will produce a report at the end of the contract, summarising the work undertaken.
